Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Columbia, South Carolina, but I feel deeply rooted in Northern Spain and the Pacific Northwest where I was raised.
What are other hobbies of yours that keep you healthy and happy?
In addition to skiing I enjoy a variety of sports like climbing, mountain biking, and water-skiing. I like to nurture myself actively, artistically, and academically. I love baking sourdough bread (another great fermented food), solving long calculus problems, and capturing beauty with my camera!
How do you make a positive difference in your average day?
Love. Love isn’t like powder. Love doesn’t get tracked out; it is limitless so, why not share it? I sprinkle everyone with love, it doesn’t matter if I’ve known them for my whole life or if we just met on the chairlift. Everyone deserves to love.
What gets you pumped up to perform, compete, teach, etc, in your sport?
Nothing gets me more pumped to ski than skiing itself. Each run reminds me why I am so hopelessly in love with the sport. Also Shakira— Old Spanish Shakira songs from when she was an angsty teenager with dreadlocks—that Shakira really gets me!
What does the perfect day look like for you in terms of weather conditions?
Cold storm days. Visibility is over-rated, powder is not!
What’s your favorite Kombucha Town flavor? Why?
Lavender, its soft and sweet and I want to be too.
