1. Tell us about your sport!
Wakeboarding at WWU is full of dedicated people who love getting on the water, and are passionate about what they like to do. Whether it is behind a boat or cable, this sport provides a natural atmosphere for progression and team bonding. Since there is one rider at a time, everyone gets stoked on each other's riding, and pushes everyone to advance their skills.
2. What makes your team unique?
We are a group of student athletes, who balance our lives between school, practicing, and team bonding. We value community involvement, and like to focus more on having fun as a team rather than worrying how we place in competition. At the end of the day wake boarding for us is all about sharing the stoke and having a good time.
3. What gets you pumped up to perform, compete, teach, etc, in your sport?
We get a bunch of energy from each other's good vibes and excitement, which makes practices and competitions all that much more worthwhile.
4. What about your sport makes you feel healthy and happy?
Being outdoors in the fresh air, seeing self-improvement, and feeling worked after a long day of riding all contribute to making us feel happy and healthy.
5. How does kombucha help you perform your sport better?
Riding hard requires us to stay hydrated at all times, and the refreshing quench of kombucha is just the right source of energy to keep us going. Plus, nothing prepares our bodies for the wipeouts like a beverage full of probiotics!
