Where were you born & raised?
I was born in Tampa Bay, Florida and moved to Washington state when I was two. I was raised in the small town of Port Angeles on the Olympic Pennisula.
What's your favorite Kombucha Town flavor? Why?
My favorite flavor of Kombucha Town is the Cascadian Hop. I love the earthy, citrus taste and plus the can is beautiful. Its a hard choice because every flavor is so good.
What gets you pumped up to perform, compete, teach, etc, in your sport?
Being around my friends and family is my favorite way of getting stoked to go out and film. I get a lot of inspiration from the close people in my life to go out and ski no matter if they ride or not. I didn't grow up in a ski town so seeing how different people create amazing lives is what inspires me to create my own unique lane. I also watch a ton of ski and snowboard edits and movies to keep the stoke alive!
How do you make a positive difference in your average day?
I try to make a positive difference every day by being a nice, happy person to people around me. Whether its asking the clerk at the grocery store how their day was or helping my friends learn new tricks on skis I believe that being genuine can make a difference on a persons day no matter how small or big it may be.
If you could travel anywhere in the world for a week, where would it be?
It would probably be British Columbia or Alaska. I would really love to ride more pillows and spines on my skis! Going heli or cat skiing has been a dream of mine my whole life. Also a nice tropical get away would be amazing, being a kook on a surfboard for a week sounds pretty awesome. I really love where I live though, its hard to leave Bellingham when the weather is good haha.
What are other hobbies of yours keep you healthy and happy?
I try to do as many outdoor activities as possible in the off season. Cliff jumping, whitewater kayaking, hiking and skateboarding are usually the go to. Also just being outside and hiking around. I would really love to learn how to surf and get back into mountain biking. I also love cooking and being around good people.
What does the perfect day look like for you in terms of weather conditions?
Oh man, the perfect day would be waking up to bluebird skies with 3 feet of fresh cold snow overnight. Then it probably would involve a nice perfect jump to hit, learning a new trick or stomping something sick, snowmobiling and shredding pow with friends. After we were done in the mountains we would rally back to Bellingham and skate the boardwalk at sunset and cap it off with a nice sushi dinner or a la familia style dinner party.
Do you have a daily ritual you cannot function without doing each day?
My morning routine usually involves finding some caffeine to get the day going.
